How to stop a dog barking all day?

Hi,
Our neighbour leaves his dog outside when he is at work or out, and the annoying little thing just barks constantly at every person / car etc that goes past.

Does anyone know what the best product is to stop a dog barking? We bought a pest bye bark free for £45 and it does not activate when the dog barks .
Can anyone recommend one that does work?
(yes the device has direct line of sight to the dog, and it is placed within 10m of the dog barking).

The sort of device you're thinking of isn't going to work. To stop him barking will ned the co-operation of the owner, as they will need to make the effort to retrain the dog.
Firstly, have you actually spoken to the neighbour? - they may genuinely not realise how much of a nuisance the dog is. Either way, that has to be your starting point.
If the neighbour is unwilling to take action, then you need to keep a record and get onto the council dog warden, followed by environmental health if it's a persistent nuisance.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

if you're in all day listening to it, take it into yours and play with it... it won't bark so much if it's having fun
