Someone i work with whose partner works in the civil service went on holiday today to Australia for 3 weeks and another 4 days in Dubai they are staying with someone who does the same sort of job for the british government in Brisbane who apparently openly admit to a champagne life style. Its also common knowledge that this holiday is basically all expenses paid flights the lot only spending money to find for the three of them.
Seems im in the wrong job in the private sector must admit certainly found it hard to keep my mouth shut when they were gloating somewhat about it and i quote "a perk of the job". .........................................me jealous .........never.
We havent had a holiday in three years in this house

They could be dressing it up to sound nice but saying that i wouldnt turn the chance down to go to aus. It does seem some of us are in the wrong job.

and when i worked as a chef in the Intercontinental group, I did quite a few visits across the globe within the group
Dubai was a particular highlight
that would be the private sector
feel free to work as a fine dining chef doing 16 hour days if you want that cushy number
