The august 2011 br club

Hi everyone, welcome to the August 2011
Bankruptcy Club.
This club is for everyone who has gone through the process of Bankruptcy during August
2011. So please feel free to join and post.
Pop your name on here, the date that you went Bankrupt and the stage that you are at now in your Bankruptcy. And then just keep everyone in the club updated throughout the next year about your journey through Bankruptcy. That way we can all stick together and compare notes and we will be there to support each other throughout the different stages in our Bankruptcy.
Remember this is your board so keep posting.
Obviously anyone can come on here and post anything that will help us all and you are all welcome. Any important questions that do need answering are maybe still better posted on the main board but if you do put it on here, then maybe we can help each other.
Hopefully it will be an extra place for friendship and support as we compare notes and discuss what is happening with our Bankruptcies.
Please leave a post when you have been declared BR, and I will update the list.
*PLEASE DO NOT INCLUDE TOO MUCH INFO, THE IS ARE KNOWN TO FREQUENT THIS SITE AND TOO MUCH INFO MAY MAKE IT POSSIBLE TO IDENTIFY INDIVIDUAL CASES, SO KEEP INFO TO A MINIMUM, ie USERNAME AND DATE ONLY.":pB&SC No. 298

Thanks If.
Think I'm all prepared for all possible questions, have also prepared my income and expenditure and have it with me.
How long does it normally take at the court? The clerk told me to allow for a couple of hours but said I won't be busy all that time. What happens?
On a more positive note I am going to the bank straight afterwards to open a new account and start my new beginning

Experiences vary slightly depending on the court but this was mine, I had an appointment:-
You go to the court, speak to the clerk they will go over the forms, they take the money. You swear that the forms are true. Then you'll be asked to wait, the judge may or may not see you (He will ask you if you sought advice, you say "yes' you name your debt charity that helped you). Then you leave and wait for the clerk to give you your Bankruptcy Order, ( sometimes this is sent to you later) you then Speak to the OR's clerk on the phone they'll ask you a few questions and you ask them you wish to use your coop/barclays basic account as your pay and DD's go through it. They say they will speak to the bank and they have no interest in it. It can take between 1 or 2 hours....although sometimes it can be quicker. The Clerk’s were professional, respectful and very helpful. As was the Judge, who looked younger than me!!!!
Then you go home and have a nice cup of tea and chocolate !!
If it's the Courts of Justice in London these thread's may help:-
