I have been sent a £20.00 voucher from a company after sending them a faulty item I purchased and this voucher states the £20 off the brand named goods for example green giant but I wondered how strict places like Sainsbury's, Asda, Morrisons are over this and if you could use it on Any items no matter who made them. the reason being if I buy the item I would be getting a year or more supply of what I use and it would be out of date before I used it and I do not wish to buy something I would not use even though I would be getting it free with this voucher.

So please let me know if it is possible to use it at a big supermarket without them checking what I purchased too much. I do not mind buying say £10 of the product as it would last 6 months or more but all would be a waste

I would buy the amount you can for the £20 and give it to family or the local homeless centre. You can try and purchase something else but the computer inside the cash register, now registers purchases. This is how they do their stock control etc. It would take one pretty dumb trout to realise you haven't got what your supposed to have. The only way to find out is try it. The voucher was free so what have you got to lose. Good luck:)
