Disappointing roof - what can I do?

Options
Hi,

I have just had a new roof put on my semi in London at a cost of £15,000 which, for the most part, has gone well. We have made interim payments of about 50% with the balance still
to be paid. However, something appeared odd to the rear of the house where the horizontal ridge tiles appeared not to be in a straight, even line. Instead, one of the final ridge tiles to be put in place was cemented in place at 40 degrees to the horizontal in order to meet the angle of the roof. This looked ugly and resembled the hump on the back of a Boeing 747 jet.
We flagged it to the builditers who at first claimed it was common practice for this to happen but then conceded was a fault which they would put right. The owner of the roofing company blamed his brother who had been responsible for this part of the work and said he felt like sacking him, out of frustration.
My wife and I thanked the owner for his understanding and allowed him to go ahead and remedy the poor finish. The same day, we returned from work to discover the remedial work looked marginally better but still with a clear hump in the line of ridge tiles because
instead of reinstalling the full length, only 3 ridge tiles had been removed and replaced to try to improve the appearance.

The builder is eager to close the job and has arranged for the
scaffolding to be taken down and while we have had a largely positive experience this final episode is both disappointing and ruins the appearance of the overall job. What do we do now? Thank you.

It is fairly normal for end ridge tiles to be put on tilted up a little. Not sure about the angle being 40 degrees though.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.
