Challenge: hand wash with NO bubbles

OK, he loves bubbles as a concept, he loves blowing bubbles etc, but he's really not into bubbles on him. He loves baths, but not with the tap running. He loves playing with boats but not squirty toys. If I can get him washing his hands happily so it's not a battle to get him to do it, then I'll work on getting the bubbles back in before he starts school. He's got full time 1:1 support at school so hopefully we can work on this together.
Thank you very much everyone for the ideas, I'll give them all a go
I'm probably telling you stuff you already know... You can have it put into his IEP that he needs non-bubbly hand washing stuff at school & preschool/nursery (don't know if he goes to preschool?). The school will find it easier if you can get the specific product you find works and provide them with it, and then you'll know he's using the familiar product.
One of DS2's friends has severe eczema and has brought soap substitute into school for hand washing since Reception.
If you have an advisory teacher involved they often have good ideas of things that can help with acclimatisation.0 -
It may be worth looking for "chemical free" handwashes - the main foaming agent is usually sodium laureth/lauryl sulphate ("SLS"), and so many SLS-free products advise/point out that they're not as bubbly, but this doesn't mean they're not cleansing."She who asks is a fool once. I'm a fool quite often0
