if you have already exchanged they can't change the price. If you haven't exchanged they can do anything. Whether you accept their revised offer is upto you. At that price difference, I would be inclined to tell them the deal is off and find new buyers.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. no we havent exchanged but we have no other option but to accept what they are now offering as we are moving to turkey end of this mth . but as i was saying there advert says that more or less they will honer there verball and written offer ?0 -
Where did you find these buyers? Sounds like one of these forced sale outfits, some are more trustworthy than others.
Only you can decide if it is worth leaving your home in the hands of an estate agent after you go to Turkey or accepting their low offer.
Is £92,000 the true market value or an agreed reduced price for a quick sale?
A few of the people that operate quick purchase deals are on singingpig.co.uk, they may be able to give you advice on whether it is worth trying to find another buyer who could work quickly.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. You MAY have recourse under the Trades Descriptions or false advertising legislation is my first thought.
Your local trading standards team should be able to help.
I agree with silver car that until you have exchanged anyone can do anything.
I feel for you., but who are this company and where did you find them. No offence but it sounds pretty dodgy. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
sorry, but you have been conned.0

Sadly there is nothing you can do as there is no agreement until exchange.
It may appear underhand but you are under NO obligation to sell. Could you try selling it whilst abroad?
And before we all jump around in disgust, remember that the buyer may only be responding to a poor survey.....0 -
The ole gazundering trick. It's a favourite with unscrupulous business types. Get you a bit down the house selling road and then try to take advantage. It happened to friends of ours. They had an offer of £155 which was 40k below what the house was originally on for. The guy came back with an offer of 90k. They told him where to stick it.Stercus accidit0

probably easier said than done but purely on principle I would reject them and tell them the deaL IS OFF. If more people did this then perhaps they wouldn't keep trying it on.The reason people don't move right down inside the carriage is that there's nothing to hold onto when you're in the middle.0
