I am currently with british gas homecare plan and have recently been contacted to transfer to homefix 247. Does anyone have any experience of this company and their work??????

Did you sign up with Homefix 247 or stay with BG? I'm undecided.0

Hey peeps
:D:D:D
I signed up back with Homefix 24/7 back in June 2011 and the service received so far has been excellent.
Would definitely recommended the company Homefix, The also saved me £140 on what I was paying to British gas and i know Homefix have website you can check out before signing up which i think is www homefix247 net
anyways hope this helps

As you probably haven't even called them out yet because of the mild start to the winter I guess you have just chucked money away.
Anyways...... SPAMNot Again0 -
Following on to all these posts about Homefix. I would echo to watch out!! I agreed to go with them last year but then british gas gave me a better deal. When they contacted me this year, I told them this and wouldnt be going ahead with them. A week later surprise surprise I had two follow up calls trying to persuade me to stay with them. Again told them that I was getting a better deal. Cancelled my direct debit..... and a month later I received a letter thanking me for my continued contract. Steam coming out my ears I called to say that I did not want to stay with them and had told them twice!!
Response: Lets just allow her to calm down and restart her direct debit!!!
So I would definitely say don't do it and stay with a reputable company0 -
My son's tenant had a non draining sink which I was unable to clear. We called BG and Dynarod(now part of BG ). They turned up an hour later and fixed the problem very rapidly. I have called BG about a couple of CH faults and they have always come exactly when they said they would and fixed the faults. Only problem is that they are prone to scaremongering about the condition of the system. If you chat to the engineer sensibly they will usually give you the true facts. At one time we were with some other company and we thought that the service was rubbish, which is why we swopped to BG.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -
CONTRACTORS BEWARE.
HOMEFIX seems too good to be true because it is.
I asked a few questions and they do indeed seem to sell it very well and say whatever they can to get you onboard.
save you £150 ex vat and spend in on something else
I asked them to supply me with other contractors name who they had on there books in other areas that i could ask about workloads etc to which they said they had many contractors who were happy with the deal but skirted round it when i asked for contacts etc.
i took in on myself to ring a few from the directory in and around yorkshire humberside etc so as to be far enough away from me but not too far as to be out of our area.
Every single one said the above save your money spend it on something else.
they had been on the directory from 6 months to 12 months and everyone said they had had no jobs sent through
This is even though they were told the same as myself by the sales person that you would get some jobs and that last month there had been 5-8 jobs in my area that i would have got.
I out this to the sales person when he rang back who became very irate and wouldnt let em speak and said id wasted his time....ME wasted his time hand on you have been ringing me for a week on and off ive asked questions ive spoke to you and only down to my own research have i found this information and you say your wasting my time.
its a load of rubbish and as ive always said if your a good tradesman advertising is a luxury and you shouldnt need to as you will always get repeat work.0 -
you are a trade & you have a gripe with the company because they may or may not give you the work they say, this has nothing to do with the OP's thread so i really don't see the point of your post tbhI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0
