Professional Cleaners.... Scams?

Anyone got advie when it comes to hiriing pro cleaners. Who would be trustworthy around the surrey / london area.

What kind of prices are you talking for a flat clean including carpets roughly and what would be a rip off in past experiences.

I obviously plan to get on the phone and get quotes myself but id like a rough idea of the type of questions to be asking so I dont get shafted and get the best quote i can,

thanks

you really dont need the word 'Scams' in your title.

Would you use the same word if you were looking for a solicitor, dentist, private health.
    They are all professional people.

I would work on about £12/£15 per hour for a professional company to do it.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

For a basic 2 bed, 1 bath flat with carpets and oven clean. You'd be lucky to get a quote under £200.

    £200 Brilliant

My landlord was telling me it would be at least £400 ( thus the word scams in the title!)

1 Bedroom, 1 bathroom, 1 kitchen and 1 living room
needs carpet clean and oven clean

I just paid £225 + VAT for a two-bed two-bath maisonette in central London. http://www.aussiecleanteam.co.uk/ were the contractors.

Why is your landlord charging you? Have you left it a tip?
Why not either get your marigolds on and clean up after yourself, or check out the local newsagents window and find a local cleaner who'll come in for... £8 per hour?

Would love too and have done in the past but it is written into the contract as it was pro cleaned before i came in that it should be pro cleaned on checkout with receipt as proof.
