Amazing service from homebase. Reserved envelope sleeping bag for local store pick up - just for use in children's play tent. 10 minutes later had phone call from store to say that the 1 bag they had left was a display model. They would sell me it for £1.99 - was I still interested? YES.

    Thanks Homebase and OP.

Just testing the 6-person family tent in the garden! V. good for £49.99! We are just hoping it will last a week in August, and it will have been more than worth the price (if it doesn't it can become garden sleepover tent!) Also got 2 envelope sleeping bags, & a camping pan (Team Valley store).

    Just a warning...

I ordered one a mummy bag yesterday, showing in stock in my local store. Reserved it, then thought to myself if they had another it would come in useful, but on checking it was now out of stock. I'd ordered the last one. Half an hour later comes a phone call, 'sorry, stock error we haven't got it'. Fair enough.

I checked the site again and sure enough the bag I ordered, which they had cancelled was now showing as available for reservation again.

No idea what is going on with their systems, and I'm a bit tee'd off about it to be honest, but might be worth calling the store and double checking they have your reservation before you make a special journey!

I reserved on envelope sleeping bag last night at my local store - there was only one left in stock. Got a phone call this morning to say sorry they are out of stock.

it is now showing as no stock in my local store though but weird that it actually let me reserve one when they supposedly had none left.

Similar story here. Just back from my local where I had reserved a tent last night to take as a spare as we're headed up north tomorrow and lo and behold there wasn't one reserved for me, all oos. This happens regularly with B&Q too. In fact the only online reservation service I think works effectively is the Argos one. Not impressed

As per my post below, I saw two man tents at £14.99 but couldn't decide so left them. Kicked myself last night and tried to reserve online but no stock. I was passing the store today and thought I'd give it a shot. Well £30+ later and I had the two man tent, 2 ground mats, another battery pump, a pillow for the air bed, a tripod seat, 4 lots of picnic cutlery (19p a pack), 7 x 4pk of bright picnic bowls (19p per pack) but somehow managed to leave the picnic plates on the shelf. A quick call to the store however and the girl found them exactly as I'd left them and has reserved them for me for tomorrow. That should be £1.52 for 32 plastic plates! Will try not to look at any more stuff :o

Thanks op reserved the battery pump & foot pump. I had bought a foot pump from Tesco's for £4.00 so will return it for a refund.
