Cheese Plant Propagation Advice needed please!!

Hello, I've recently tried to propagate my cheese plant by planting one of the suckers. It's rooted really well, but I'm not sure if I'm supposed to leave it attached to the parent plant for a certain amount of time, or how I remove it from the parent plant (I mean is there a specific kind of cut I need to make, or do I just cut it off just above the soil?).

    Just cut it off ensuring you have a good root supply for it. You can also use air propagation for cheese plants and dumb canes as well as cutting off suckers as you describe- it's useful to know about air propagation when the plant reaches for the sky and gets too tall for the ceiling height!
