Help required with Dabs RMA problem please.

Options
Hi all. I hope this is in the right place.

I know its a bit cheeky asking for help straight after joining, but I hope someone can help me anyway.

I ordered two items from Dabs that were RMAed in August. I had a hell of a job getting them courier company Amtrak to pick up the items. After 2 or 3 missed pickup dates, someone finally came to pick up an item. It was for one item, but I asked him if he wanted the other one while he is here. He said yep, and put a small squiggle on my collection notice. The RMA on item 1 was completed but wasn't on the second, still says in process.

I emailed Dabs and they said they wanted a copy of the collection notice, but I have since lost it :( They now say there is nothing they can do until I find it. I have searched high and low so its lost, although I don't see how having a small biro squiggle on it really meant a lot anyway.

Its for 85 quid so I don't want to let the matter drop. I am not very good at being pushy though, and I really want to avoid small-claims court if I can. Does anyone have any suggestions about certain points, phrases or actions that can help me get my refund?

Many thanx in advance.

Did you pay for the stuff on your credit card? If so contact your card issuer and see if they will do a chargeback which would get you your money back - just explain the situation to them!

I did pay for it on CC. I was advised against going the chargeback route by someone else. They said there was a £100 minimum limit on there?

    Nothing ventured, nothing gained though.

I did a chargeback for something a while back that was less than £10.

How come they advised against the chargeback can you remember or was is just because of the amount?

    Nothing ventured nothing gained!

    Good Luck!

i refuse to use dabs there prices arent bad,but they penalise me for staying in the highlands of scotland and charge me masses of postage costs when other companies can send similar items for a fraction of postage so i wont ever use them again, therel oss
