Hi,
I obtained an additional card on my cc account for my boyfriend. Does anyone know if they will have checked his credit rating prior to issuing him with that and if so will this count towards building his credit score as he's never had credit in the UK.
thanks

Probably not and no, as only you are legally responsible for the debt the account will only appear on your credit file.
If he wants to start building up a credit rating of his own maybe consider a subprime card and use it regularly but pay in full so he doesn't pay interest.
