Didnt receive outcome of appeal letter

I had a parking charge in May which I immediately appealed within the 14 day period. Since then I heard nothing until this morning requesting that I have to pay the full charge. I did not receive a letter in the interim period informing me of the status of my appeal . I rang their office today who told me that it was rejected but I did not receive this letter. I am very upset because it almost seems a deliberate ploy to make me pay the higher charge . What to do?

If this charge is from a private company and not a council, simply ignore it.0

Tell us all if it was council or private then do as Sir Roger says.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

If its private you wasted a stamp.....Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

A council Notice to Owner?0 -
hi it was from my council0

They aren't under obligation to respond to your informal appeal, just consider it ie. read it.
Daft isn't it?
Start at the beginning though. If your appeal was valid at the beginning, it still will be. Can you scan in your PCN and the NtO? There could be legal errors on it.0 -
I don't understand surely they are supposed to send you a letter stating you have been rejected and that you have 14 days to pay? Isnt that the procedure . This is what I was told when I orginally launched the appeal within the first 14 days. I will try and scan it in. Apparently they had sent out a letter which I didnt receive. Am very confused about my rights please could you clarify. I feel a bit conned into being made to pay more.0

Just send them a formal appeal, quoting your informal one and find my formal appeal published few weeks ago. It worked. The council apologised for not responding and waived my ticket as the first wrongdoing. Hope this will help. If not , there are forums on peppipoo webside. Good luck0

For detailed advice on dealing with Council issued parking tickets I suggest that you register with and then post your query on Pepipoo.com. Click Here for their Council Parking Ticket & Clamping and Decriminalised Notices forum. You will probably be asked to scan in your ticket, obscure personal details/tickets numbers etc that would enable it to be identified and then post it into the thread (there are instructions on how to do that on the forum). My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0
