Have you tried your local Freecycle? Always get washing machines popping up on my local site.

Great idea- you could also consider registering with more than one freecycle area if you're near a boundary - I'm local to three areas and it trebles your chances of finding what you want or passing on what you don't need

Try comet clearance - just bought a fridge and a cooker for around half store price so £180 should be a realistic budget.

Be careful - that's not always very fast as they they sometimes have to be shipped from miles away- we waited for weeks for one that broke down as soon as it arrived.

We got the money refunded automatically just a day after the credit card needed paying off!

True - it can take two weeks for delivery, and there may be some damage, but this is described on the site.

The goods should be in working order, and there is a six-month warranty on them.

I saved 50% on the store price, and am very happy with that...

I have a 10 yr old Zanussi thats is so noisy it sounds like its taking off !!

As of this morning I`m also having to purchase a new washing machine:( as the drum has collapsed in mine!

Have had a look around and found this one seems a good buy.
