any platform better for investment trusts?

    In HL's 'virtual portfolio' you can add things you own elsewhere. I think it does shares (and thus ITs) as well as funds. It's a different screen, and you have to copy them manually to do analysis, but it'll keep everything together there if you want. They market it as 'things you're thinking of buying', but no need to tell them you actually own them elsewhere...

    If you set HL as your broker, presumably that means you pay HL's fees when you sell? Also watch for transfer out charges on the old platform.

    Some investment trusts have their own ISA wrapper. I have np idea abt costs as I can't have ISAs where i live. But you would be restricted to one groups ITs for each wrapper/yr- but each group does have numerous diff trusts in differtn areas.

    I was just looking at my Inv Perpetual inc and Grwth as there is an offer and i see that they do have an ISA wrapper available which could be of interest to you later.
