PPI Reclaim success - now how to get the money

Hopefully this will be an easy one for someone to help me with. Had a letter today from RBC saying how much they would refund me and that it would be credited to my Mint credit card unless the account had been closed in which case they send a cheque. :j

My card is still active - albeit with a very minimal balance on it - so what's the best way to get the money? Close the card before returning the acceptance form? Close the card after they've credited the money? Or can you just sort of withdraw money from a credit card somehow?

Any advice gratefully received.

If they pay off your balance and there is still some left over they would send you a cheque for the rest I would think.

If you no longer want the credit card, close it. Then on the acceptance form write "Credit Card closed - please send a cheque to..."
