Will be visiting Derby next weekend on a Days Inn cheapy booked ages ago.
Can anyone tell me what there is to see, what shouldn't we miss?
We live in Derbyshire so know what's round & about, national trust etc. But we're not familiar with the city centre.
Thanks

Hi
The Westfield shopping centre is good and has a food court. The cathedral quarter has some nice individual shops. There's cinema deluxe inside the Westfield. Quad is good for exhibitions, good food and cinema.
There are some free museums.
There's plenty of bars and places to eat in the city centre to sit and people watch.
Roller world, Sunday car boot at the cattle Market, swimming pools and leisure centres are a little way out of the city centre but easily reached by bus or taxi. The Cabbage

Thanks for that.0

The Denby pottery place is supposed to be quite good, but it's not really city centre.0

Pride park is not far and there is a park and ride bus from the city centre. It's home to derby county. There are some nice parks near the city centre and riverside walks. Occasionally there's a ghost walk but it's infrequent.

Markeaton Park is lovely when the weather is nice, it has a big outdoor paddling pool, crazy golf, various kids games, a little train that goes around the park, and loads of space to picnic, play games etc0
