Convert units into kwh
I have an app on phone which predicts annual estimated usage of gas 196.7kwh (£10.51) in the app. However Scottish Power have told us our annual estimated usage is 15,357kwh. I’ve rang Scottish Power and they said our meter readings are only units and these need to be converted to kwh.
How can I convert the units into kwh using the app?
Many thanks

Hi Layo909 - Your gas bills are priced in Kwh, but your meter reads in units which are then converted to Kwh, and to make life difficult there are 2 types of meter
METRIC METER is marked m3 on the front and each unit converts to appx 11.2Kwh
IMPERIAL METER is marked ft3 on the front and each unit converts to appx.31.5 kwh
Something is wrong, perhaps with the App.
If your 196.7 is in fact meter units, it would convert to 2203 Kwh on a Metric meter, or 6196 on am Imperial meter - If it was me I'd take the word of Scottish Power0
