Boiler repair/call out/service?

Hello there,
My boiler is leaking and on this lovely bank holiday weekend will need someone to come out and repair.
I called British Gas who quote £156 but can't come for over a week.
I'm about to start ringing around from the local pages but wondered what I should expect to pay.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Given that BG don't consider this an urgent repair (which is why they aren't offering to come for a week) I'd wait until 2nd Jan if possible so that you can get someone at "normal" rates instead of paying a premium for a weekend/bank holiday call out. What exactly is wrong in terms of "leaking"?A house isn't a home without a cat.

I have writer's block - I can't begin to tell you about it.
You told me again you preferred handsome men but for me you would make an exception.

There's a slow drip just coming out the bottom! My uncle (a plumber) had a look last night and can't see anything of major concern! Will wait till the 2nd as you said.Wandered away from the MSE track for a while but am back and on a mission! Debts cleared nearly £18k. Now to start saving ...0
