It's completion day!

It's completion day, and I am sitting wating patiently waiting for a call to say we can go pick up the keys. What time do these things usually happen (i'm a first time buyer so have no prior knowledge.) In scotland if that makes a difference. Thanks.

It can happen anytime, normally is some point in the morning, but sometimes can be the afternoon.

If hasn't happened by 12, give your solicitor a call as sometimes they do forgot to call straight away.

I'd call the solicitor now, just to make sure they haven't forgotten, haven't fallen under a bus, had all the paperwork eaten by the dog, etc!
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

You need to bear in mind it's the vendor's solicitor who authorises key release, not yours. Once your solicitor tells you he's sent the money, all you can do is wait.

You're better off ringing the estate agents. It is the second call the vendor's solicitor makes to confirm the completion funds have been received.
