Adding accounts to Egg Money Manager

I don't know about anybody else, but I wouldn't be without Egg Money Manager anymore. It's so much easier having all of your account details available on one screen and under one set of login details.
The one gripe that I do have is that some of the accounts that I hold are not recognised by Egg. This means that I can't view them via EMM, and I hope to be able to do something about this. Egg have the facility where you can suggest adding other organisations (see how to do this below). Whilst they don't provide any guarantee that they'll add the organisation that you request, they do say that they'll look into it at least. In my view this is probably like most other things in the business world - If only one person asks for something then it's likely to be ignored, but if a number of people ask for that same thing then they are more likely to pay attention. I've done a quick search on the forum, but I can't find any similar thread to this. My apologies if there is, and I'm sure somebody will point it out if so.
My suggestion is that we start a list of organisations whose accounts cannot currently be viewed via Egg Money Manager. Then, if we all suggest that these accounts are added the next time we log in we may well be doing each other a favour. There is nothing to stop people from making numerous requests every month or so, although I'm not sure that doing it every time that you log in would be the best idea.
It's quite simple to suggest an organisation to Egg. Simply do the following:
*When logged in to EMM, click on 'add new or amend your accounts from other organisations'. This is at the bottom of the screen below all of your account details.
*Click on the 'suggest an organisation' link. You can add multiple organisations in the one box, as long as you separate them with a comma.
Below is the list of accounts that cannot currently be viewed through Egg Money Manager (that I am currently aware of). If you want to reply to this post with any further organisations, please do so and I'll update the list to make things as simple as possible. I hope that this will benefit a lot of people if Egg pays attention.
1. Birmingham Midshires
2. Landsbanki (Icesave)

I've already put in a request to EWise (via AccountUnity) to sort out IceSave. Give them a few months - it took them a while to add ICICI. (Incidentally it is, I believe, EWise who provide Egg with the EMM - any requests made via Egg shoul go to EWise.)Conjugating the verb 'to be":

Does anyone still using ING (yes, I know! but I still like them) with EMM fail to get a balance at present? I think it must be to do with their (ING's) changed login procedure. This sort of thing has caused other organisations to be unavailable through EMM (and I imagine the identical aggregator services) for a while, only to start working again later - so I believe that it takes the programmers a while to service changes to logins and that explains the occasional 'glitches'
Egg-cellent - it certainly makes Egg a favoured site and they must get some business on the back of it somehows...
[And a good idea for a post Hanxx].....under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam0 -
I still have some money in Ing, locked until Feb 1st for 5.1%, a mistake, but nevermind. I had that problem, contacted Egg. This was their reply and it then cleared my computer and I got access back on line about 2 weeks ago.
"We need to check if your computer is holding an old copy of our pages or cookies as this could be causing the problem.
In Internet Explorer:
- Click on 'Tools' at the top of the screen
- Then on 'Internet Options' at the bottom of the list
- Click the 'Delete Files' button, half way down in the centre
- Tick the box and press 'OK'
- Click 'Settings' half way down on the right
- Select 'Every visit to the page'
- 'View files' in the middle
- Look for any cookies (notepad pictures) containing Egg or the affected banks in the name and delete them.
- Click OK
You need to close all your Internet Explorer windows before the changes will take effect."
It worked for me.0 -

I also used to find that logging into the banks site directly sometimes helps. Then, the next time I went back into EMM the accounts that weren't working suddenly were again. I've also had to remove accounts from EMM in the past, and then put them back on. This normally sorts any problems out as a last resort. All in all though it's a great little service, although a lot has been said about the security side of things.0 -
