Strange seller

I bought some jewellery the other day which was described as diamond and 18K gold. Having received it it looked suspect so I had it tested and it was actually cubic zirconia and suspect 9k/base metal. Seller has said I can return it, so no problems there, but I only said I would return it yesterday and she has relisted it already on a 5 day listing! Just seemed a bit previous!

You won't be able to help the next buyer but make sure once you have your full refund in your hand that you neg purely to warn other buyers in futrure that the seller lies about what she is selling.
Also remembering when returning the goods you will need to sue special delivery as jewellery is not covered against loss using standard mail
As for the speed of relisting, she has almost certainly already realised that she can only lie until the first neg hits, so speed is essential in conning others.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I would neg her now - I'd usually wait but if she's a fraud then people need to be warned."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4

I'd wait until I'd had my refund before negging her, you don't want her to drag her heels & make you go to dispute for your refund.
Do make sure that you send it back special delivery.0 -
TBH I think in this case she is just trying to pull a fast one with this item, not that she has multiples or that she is consistently sending fraudulent goods. She is a new seller trying to clear some unwanted stuff after her divorce. Mind you it doesn't excuse the fact that she sent duff goods, but on her relist she has said she doesn't know anything about the stones rather than listing them as diamonds. Or maybe I am being too soft. I was actually going to leave a positive as she said she would accept a return without me fighting for it!0

Maybe it was a gift from hubby? and he told her it was diamonds:rotfl:
Cheapskate

If it's not gold then it can't be described as gold. Not some ebay rule but the law of the land so maybe report the item to ebay if the new description or title mentions it. When you list an item as gold then a ebay pop-up shows saying this so there really is no excuse.0

Well she really is very silly. She has messaged me now to check I have posted it back to her (bearing in mind I only asked if I could send it back last night) as she has sold it again for £70. She has a lot more faith in people (and royal mail) than I would!
I have sent it back special delivery but didn't pay the extra for it to be delivered tomorrow so she will have to wait. I wasn't sure who was liable for the return cost so didn't want to fork out the extra.0 -

If she's a decent seller she would refund the returns cost but it's her call unfortunately.0 -
I'm with you Texranger. She is lying and I guess she needs sympathy. You must tell the whole story I guess.:rotfl::rotfl:I said it cause I can:rotfl::rotfl:0
