Warning about Morrisons car park rip off and restricted length shopping time

In Morrisons FREE car park there are a few signs that state that you can only park for 2 hours.
There are no ticket machines where you can buy a ticket, if in the unfortunate circumstances you are delayed whilst shopping, so you end up parked for 15 minutes longer than the 2 hours.
You get back to your car and find out that someone has stuck a ticket on your car stating this
What would you do?
Would you send £40 to the address on the back of the notice for spending 15 minutes longer than the signs stated?
Even the council doesn't charge that for overstaying in the pay and display car park.
In fact it is more than £40 as you have to write a cheque and pay money for a stamp and envelope.
You cannot even pay in the car park if you wanted to do so.
Even the Parking Attendant will not take your money.
There are only notices in the car park, no machines to enable you to pay for any time over the 2 hours.
There are not any barriers that can close off the car park either.
Would you want to shop in a shop that restricted the time you could spend in the shop?

I would take the ticket and wipe my backside with it - to save on toilet tissue and enjoy the free parking with no chance of paying anything.0

Most supermarkets and shopping centres where parking is free restrict your time. This is to stop commuters and people from nearby offices parking there.
If you go the transport part of this forum there is a entire forum on parking charges. They will tell you what to do if you post there. (Generally they tell you not to pay it.)I'm not cynical I'm realistic

Do we need a second thread on this in the same part of the forum? Is this not spamming mse? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Do we need a second thread on this in the same part of the forum?
Of course we do.
The other thread deteriorated into a farce because some posters insinuated that I had got or was trying to get away with something and that I shouldn't have parked in the car park for more than 2 hours.
I just thought I would clarify some points as some posters did not seem to understand that there was no way to pay if you inadvertently overstayed your most enjoyable time shopping in Morrisons.
After all, what supermarket in their right mind would want customers to rush around the store because there was a time limit on parking and there was no way to extend that time.
I thought supermarkets wanted customers to take their time and leisurely wander round and spend as much money as possible.
But if Morrisons want to put a time limit on how long customers spend in their store they shouldn't complain when their profits take a dive.If you go the transport part of this forum there is a entire forum on parking charges. I am aware of the other forum, I posted there as well and also mentioned it in my other thread in this forum.
Also no where in any of my posts did I say I was going to pay, nor did I ask if I should.
Which some posters on the previous thread do not seem to understand.0 -
They obliviously think that intimidating customers in to paying a fake parking ticket is the way to go in business.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

I think this thread has gone off track again. I suggest a new thread is needed? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
