Thank you all for your responses.
Each one of them has the label confirming that they pass the relevant regulations.;)I am not a complete idiot - some parts are missing;)0 -
I did a roaring trade at my local boat fair with a box of cuddly toys, although I didn't sell them for much. 50p each or 3 for a pound. Only works in school holidays though as the children get dragged round the bootfair by Mum and Dad, pester power is a wonderful thing. Box on the ground sheet so the kids can see them.0

Never assume that because you don't think a bear is collectible that it isnt... this is a 2 minute search on ebay and these are all 80's bears that frequently end in charity shops

I wonder whether my daughter has thrown out her bags of soft toys her Grandparents took up to her from their house yet.
She had loads of care bears, if only we'd kept all the My Little Pony stuff.0 -

Prices have dropped quite a bit from what they used to be, but the right care bear (Treatheart Pig to be precise) can fetch a couple of thousand easily with other bears only released in the UK fetching from £10 - £500 a bear.
As for ponies, again, thousands for the right one. Certain stamps on the feet, certain patterns, certain countries etc
What many don't realise is a lot of 80's toys were country specific, we got models of ponies and care bears etc that the USA didn't, that automatically makes them quite desirable. A reasonable knowledge of UK releases in the toy market can be very profitable at boot sales0 -
if you can't sell them on ebay or at a carboot and are happy to donate, your local primary school would probably be happy to take them for their Christmas fayre, I know my daughters' school ask for donations of toys at Christmas and summer. Also at Christmas they do the shoe box appeals, perhaps they would be useful for those too.
Be nice to think they could make another child happy :-)V xxx

If they have the CE mark then I'd give them to a charity shop, if they don't then I'm sure your local dogs home would love them..... they may not last long but they will be the highlight of some poor unwanted dogs day! Some days you're the dog..... most days you're the tree!0

My daughter had probably just about every pony including the stables, clothes bedding etc & lots of care bears going, then there was transformers, turtles.
It's a shame that we moved as often as we did.
I may have a look at my parents & see if any were put in their loft.
I've never even considered buying 80's toys to sell on.
I do know that she still has Jacko that someone gave her & I've just seen the price of them.0
