JUST A WARNING...
Just had a phone call from 0845 111 0272 TELLING me I could save money switching with them for gas & electric. They knew my name & address and told me the phone call could be recorded for training purposes (official like). Asked me who was my utilities provider/s and quoted they could do it a lot cheaper. I asked again who he was from and replied E.ON I said Oh, is that Age UK he said "no"......£30 for gas p/m and £15 electricity p/w on pre-pay meter. (my bill/s at the moment are £40 p/m for gas and roughly £17 p/w for leccy)......I asked if this was on a price promise or price protected and for how long, he said it wasn't!.........I then replied what about the rise in fuel in August to which he said "their prices don't go up then, it 'may' go up in September!"........ so I said...if I go with you now, I pay this cheaper price for about a month and then it goes up.......he replied......"yes!!"......good bye was my reply to that.......
Please make sure you get all the information from these people i.e.; name of caller (if they give the real name over)...firm and get everything in writing before you even think about 'saving' anything from these cold callers!!!
I did a Google search on this number (0845 111 0272) and there has been complaints for years from it so please be aware!!

Whenever I get a call like that I always say,"that's all right, I am recording it also" Quite a few callers tell me I can't do that and hang up.0 -

I deploy the "Your call is important to me scenario, and get on with my life while they are on hold!
