yep i have late payments, but i've been working so hard this year to keep on top of things and get it all sorted. I'm in a pickle now as to if i should tell him or not - this is a small company about 30 people are employed so it's not a big corporate thing.

I would mention it to your boss. Just say that you have had issues with debt in the past, it is all sorted out now but you are worried that your credit file may still look poor. I had a similar issue when I started my current job - had to do full crb, disclosure, employment, credit checks - the lot! Spoke to them beforehand and said that my credit file was going to come back poor and I hoped it wouldn't be an issue as it was for things in the past that I was working to sort out now. Think it's better to give them a heads up then they can see you're being upfront about it rather then it coming back as a surprise.

How does having debt make you look bad? You are working for a company, not borrowing money off them. Why would they care if you make some late payments. Having debt does not make you a criminal or a thief. I don't get it!

MY credit is totally perfect. I cleared everything by stealing £10K from my previous employer!

    (I didn't really)

Thats good. I have friends who are managers within banking organisations who are terrible with money
and in loads of debt. So I wouldn't worry about your situation at all x Hope you get the contract.
