Will I get a HSBC Secure key? and if so when will it arrive?

I've recently (well today) taken out an account at HSBC, one of the one's for between 16-18- I think it's called MyAccount or something, the lady in the branch never gave me the paperwork. She just took the application and photocopied my identity.

anyway to the point: The account has a Visa Card with it and I would like to bank online, and I noticed the sucure key thing and I wondered if I would get one- and if so, when?

I've been banking with them for 18 years and I still haven't recieved mine...
If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

When you do get one you will wish you hadn't.They really are a bit of a hassle, though very secure, obviously! Just spent several minutes working it all out(had to do hubbys as well) the keys are very small and I have arthritic fingers so it wasn't easy.

I received the letter last week, it said it will be sent within 6 to 8 weeks. As for the OP, you will get one if you have signed up for internet banking, all new accounts get them automatically.

I am a bit mystified by many of the comments here. I have used their somewhat different one on my HSBC business account for some years and it is very easy. Can't imagine the personal banking one will be any harder. Certainly not an 'end of the world' thing.
