metallic effect wall emulsion

well here goes, OH (the missus) went to bee an kew to buy paint for our girls room, she purchased their home brand metallic effect blue purple thinking itl funk the room up a little and give some shine to the walls.

this stuff is horrible to paint with, i wouldnt never ever put this stuff in a spray gun to spray a wall with, and is horrible on a roller and brush, its like painting with watered down emulsion and no matter how you try even with a spray guard roller system you will get it everywhere because its so thin a paint.

the wall i painted had dark purple on it anway and thought this may help with coverage, but thats a no no, 2 tubs 1 one wall and dries incredibly patchy, wall is small but has had loads of layers added to even hide the paint underneath.

when the stuff dries it feels like sandpaper medium course grit!!.

more trouble than this stuff is worth, and if doing a full room with any colour on the wall going to cost you because each wall may take two to three 2.5l tubs more if you have white.

havent purchased anyother metalic range nor do i want to, did review this paint on thier website but a mod pulled it off! so says much. avoid the blue purple metallic at all costs, by the time your finished your finished you may aswell have spent the same amount of money on dulux or crown and had less tubs of paint to buy.

don't hold your breath , i used crowns metalic paint onj a customers feature wall and it looked like the dogs dinner ,i did exactly what it said on the tin but to no avail. luckily she had 3/4 of the wall covered by kitchen units and a splashback so you couldn't see much of the paint .
