You certiainly can if it's true.
I am the main driver on my husbands car.
If it's not true then it's called "fronting".
It also may appear to insurers as "fronting" so you might find you get investigated if you have a claim even if it's true as the normal situation would be one car each and they might be supicious that your doing it for gender/price reasons.
I'm not suggesting you are but just warning you that they might be suspicious.0 -
yes i am telling the truth.
My husband works two minutes away so walks or bikes.
I use my car to go to work and use his when travelling with my baby as its a 5 door car so easier to get baby in and out.
Husband only ever uses either car at weekend if we go out as a family.
so as i drive both cars more then him i thought it would be more realistic if i am insured as main driver on both,
thanks0 -

Never doubted that you were :-)so as i drive both cars more then him i thought it would be more realistic if i am insured as main driver on both
It's absolutely essential that the insurer has the correct information on which to base the contact between you.
If they don't they can cancel claims and cancel insurance meaning a lot of future problems.
It's key information to the contract.
Sometimes people lie (not you obviously) and sometimes people don't really understand the importance.
Insurers are quite hot on it because sometimes parents put themselves down for their offspring and that can seriously distort the risk for the insurer.
Provided it's accurate you have nothing to worry about.0 -
firstly think about the rich and super rich, and think how many cars they have, then that will answer your questionPromo codes are never always cheaper..... isnt that right EuropCar?0

I'm main driver on three of ours, but my wife is main driver on the fourth. It only looks suspicious if one of you is main driver on all the cars, and the other is just a named driver. Speak to the insurer and make sure it's in writing to them.0 -
my dad has 2 cars and is the main driver on both, I am named driver on both for emergancy purposes.MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000

That's ok until one's the BMW and the other is a pink saxo.
Then there's never going to be a chance of any payout.
It helps if you have your own car, and you're main driver on that.0 -
You can only use your NCB on one car aswell, the 2nd car you will have to start its own set of NCB discount. Some insurers may mirror the discount for youEveryones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0

Of course - you can be listed as the main driver of as many cars as you are genuinely the main driver of.
Think of all those Premiership footballers whom have a different car for each day of the week. They will probably be the main driver of all of them.We need the earth for food, water, and shelter.
The earth needs us for nothing.
The earth does not belong to us.
