HELP PLEASE!! Best schools south of Norwich...

Both Primary (v important) and secondary (long term) please?
I have asked for a lot of help in our Norfolk and had great feedback!
Any have any info which could help or websites that help, I have tried and am getting no luck, especially upto date info!
We are looking at Wymondham, but its pricey (ideally 3 bed deatched), so we may have to broden the search area, but if this is the best town/area for schools in South Norfolk, we wont cut corners. (Robert Ketts is the school we are looking at)
We dont want to come any further south than Wymondham. Ideally anything SW of the City/A47 as we need easy access to both the City and Dereham and Swaffham (but not too easy lol).
Schools are No1 priorty in our move, so anyone with local knowledge or being able to help would be great.
Thanks in advance.

You could look at Drayton and Taverham. They are north west of Norwich but are only 5 mins run through to the A47.
Both Drayton & Taverham have excellent infant and middle/junior schools. The senior school for the area is Taverham high. There is also Taverham Hall school, a large private prep school for infants/juniors.
Many of my friends have put their children through these schools (some are still attending) and have no complaints. Taverham High is a modern school with Sports Academy status.
Taverham/Drayton has excellent bus links, nice pubs (in Drayton centre), local shops (butchers, bakers etc.), medium size supermarket and usual spattering of convenience/Tesco metros, petrol station etc. with a Sainsbury and Asda superstore only 5 min drive away. Has two doctors surgeries, dentists, local library and two nice churches, surrounded by countryside and sits on the Marriotts way cycle track (26 mile cycle/bridlepath from Norwich city centre to Aylsham). http://www.marriottsway.info
Drayton particularly still has a 'village feel'.

Thanks for the great info ODR, very helpful.
Maybe we would consider the more nothern areas for the right school, along as the area was good as well, so your suggestions are def worth researching for us...
Thanks again for taking the time to reply.0 -
There is no such thing as the best school just the right school for your child, therefore its best if you search yourself. Just go to council website then cross-check schools on it with ofstead and their own sites.Save £200 a month : [STRIKE]Oct[/STRIKE] Nov Dec Jan Feb Mar Apr0

Hi Redford,
Glad to see you still want to make the move to Norfolk! We are also looking in that area and just waiting for a job to come up for DH.
I would love to live in Spooner Row and send my children to the school there. Its a village just outside of Wymondham, 5 mins approx into the town and straight onto the A11.
The school has a great reputation and is lovely and quaint! Its also a feeder school like Robert Kett for the Wymondham High senior school.
Lovely countryside feeling but so close to all amenities when needed.
Failing that, I would be looking at Carleton Rode or Bunwell, both good primary schools but feed to New Buckingham seniors, which is not as good as Wymondham IMO!
I'm very jealous! Could be ages before we can move as DH has a specialised job (train driver) and we could be waiting an age for the right job to come up!0
