Norwich and Peterborough Gold Lite Debit Account

Hi,

I'm looking at the above account because I'm living abroad for a year and obviously it seems perfect with no withdrawal fees or interest as long as I make 5 transactions or more a month (not terribly bothered if I don't meet this and have to pay the £5 as it works out much cheaper than having horrendous withdrawal fees from other banks).

It says that new customers wouldn't get an overdraft facility, which is great because I don't want one anyway. I've never had a credit card and have no bad credit history, but the fact is I've never had any good either. Without an overdraft it's not like I'd be bad for them in that respect, but how likely do you think my chances are of being accepted for the account?

Thanks.

If its any help in determining your chances, the Gold Light is their current equivalent of what used to be the Gold Current Account (Basic Bank Account).
