Don't be too hard on yourself Mrs A.
There are lots of things you can take from your past year on MSE.
Imagine the situation if you hadn't found such an amazing site.
So you made a boo-boo, we've ALL done it, the most important thing is that you've realised your mistake and found your way back to us.
The past should remain the past so dont keep blaming yourself for a slip up.
Lets look at what you found the most difficult in the DFW journey. It might be that you were being too controlling and rigid on yourself, or thing had happened that weren't in your budget etc, or if you're like me I slipped up because I didnt put as much control on myself as I should have!
Has anything else happened in the last few months that have meant you've taken your eye off the DFW ball? Or maybe pressures of others around you? Do your family etc know what you're aiming for?
Its more difficult if we feel like we're the only people trying all the time, and esp if those you love dont know why.
But we're all here for you, to lend a helping hand and some friendly advice.
Good Luck and welcome back to us!

thanks everyone for your replies
i have had to sit back and think re the last 6 months of my life and many of you have got it exactly right.
i have been off my work for three months due to chronic depression, how did i not link this to my spending patterns.
i have been very down and probably comfort spending.
the credit card is now cut up and in the bin!!!!!! not before time.
my only saving grace is that it is on 0% for the moment, i may have to look into getting another one to do a balance transfer.
going to have a hard day in front of the paperwork etc.
spending diary will also recommence.
thanks again

I think that we all fall of the wagon at times due to various reasons, but just get in there and jump back on it and carry on it may mean readjusting your budget but dont stress out about it too much it happens to all of us at the best of times chin up and look forward. keep us posted as to how you are getting on.0

hi Mrs A
Well if its any consolation I too have fell off. Not used a 0% card though, I extended my overdraft
Right about now I cant bear to even check my online banking.
Scared again, very scared.
sos for hijacking, but for me I have to say its the being off work and bvoredom more than anything and what with Xmas nad having to actually spend money thats made things go to pot. I do best by suffering and coping on scratch all.
Roll on January! Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
