Blackpool: Recommendations and discounts...

Hi, as a family with two young children aged 6 and 1.5, we are visiting Blackpool for our hols at the end of October.
If anyone can recommend anywhere to go / places to eat that would be great. We'd also like to spend a day in the Lakes if we can.
If anyone knows of any discounts too that we could get I'd really appreciate it.

Are you going to pleasure beach? If you buy can collect the Irn Bru promotions, you get 2 for 1 entry into the park which includes your wristband. We are just back and saved loads doing this as there was 8 of us.I would like to be able to admire a man’s opinions as I would his dog - without being expected to take it home with me."
