I am getting married next year & I am trying to find a good wedding band.
Anyone have any recommendations?
I have priced Jukebox Jurors & Hootenany. I have also contacted The Untouchables, so just waiting on a response.
The guests will range from early 20's to 70's so I want a versatile band, that is confident & can get a crowd going! I will also post this on the main wedding board too!
Thanks in advance :-)

I've a list from the hotel we've booked, and one of the bands has been recommended by them and several work colleagues to me, called limelight. I haven't heard them yet but we've shortlisted them, pm if you want the number0

So did I. I thought it was a way of getting a wedding ring now in case the price of gold keeps on going up the way it has done in recent months.0 -
I was at a wedding recently and the band was Atmosphere who also provided a disco afterwards. The dance floor never emptied all night, and the songs played covered all ages from 20 to 70. they also did a few wedding games.
Other bands I would recommend would be The Miracles, Mr Men and The Boogie Men - have enjoyed every wedding that they have played at.
Hope you get sorted!!

The Pontiax are absolutely fantastic, great entertainers and put on a great show.0

I second Atmosphere, they played at our wedding in 2009 and were fantastic. We went down to Dungannon to hear them play, the lead singer, I think his name is Thomas used to play in the Hatfield on a Wednesday evening.
Atmosphere provided a band and dj and I would really recommend them. One word of advice, you should really go at listen to the band before you book, we heard some shockers!!0 -
The Wheelers are a great band! They are a two piece band and could also put a disco on for you too. Its always good to go and hear the band before your book them. If you are interested pm and I will send you their number:Doooooooh i luv a bargain0

lol @ the jewellery replies! I will be looking for wedding rings towards the end of the year - hoping for a bargain in the xmas/jan sales!
will prob head to gardeners or murrays for wedding rings - seen them at wedding fairs & both companies were excellent!
thanks for all the other replies - i have sent a pm to some of you as well :-)0 -
The Housem8s played my wedding in April and our guests are still talking about them - really professional, good mix of music and completely engage the room. They also will do a DJ set afterwards if that's what you want. You can book them through Michael Magill promotions and their website has demo tracks you can listen to! Google housem8s and you'll find them no bother.Life in this world is, as it were, a sojourn in a cave. What can we know of reality? For all we can see of the true nature of existence is, shall we say, no more than bewildering and amusing shadows cast upon the inner wall of the cave by the unseen blinding light of absolute truth, from which we may or may not deduce some glimmer of veracity, and we as troglodyte seekers of wisdom can only lift our voices to the unseen and say humbly "Go on, do deformed rabbit again.....it's my favourite". © Terry Pratchett in "Small Gods"
