first holiday advice on prices

We are a family of 5 ,two adults , 3 young children ages 4, 5, 8. We have never been abroad as a family we are looking to book now for next year 2012 and start saving now . I am thinking it would be cheaper in the long run to book all inclusive as my children are always wanting , what do you think ? then also i wont be worrying about saving alot of spending money nearer the time . I have had a few prices from thomson , direct holidays & few others and prices for all inclusive are coming back at around £2400 do you think i could get an all inclusive holiday any cheaper than this ? i was looking to paying £1700 or around that figure is this impossible . Can anyone recommend a tour operature ? one which i could also pay a low deposit .
Sorry forgot to say i would like a short flight maybe menorca , ibiza anywhere thats safe for children

thinking maybe 14th july 2012 for 1 week , so week before school summer holidays starts thinking this date maybe alittle cheaper then waiting til school summer holidays begin but i am fairly flexable .my childrens school wont really allow them to be off in term time and it would mean taking all 3 of them out of school but if booking the week before school summer holidays saves me any money then so be it

If you are going to take them out of school for a week then consider doing it in mid-may when prices are much cheaper.
