Cat Litter Tray / Box

Hi,

We need to replace our cat litter box as a sensible person in our house put something heavy on top of it and cracked it

So I was wondering if anyone out there could recommend a decent one?

We currently have an enclosed one as our cat seems to prefer that to an open tray on the floor - can't think why :D

We have looked at Pets at Home but they didn't seem to have much choice.

This may well be a very boring question & the choice may be limited to what PAH have but I thought I would ask!
:)

  • Hello, I have 3 cats and can recommend the Clean and Tidy hooded range from Pets at Home. They have some nice designs as well. We got some red ones to fit in with our kitchen where our litter trays are kept under the stairs. They are also easy accessable and easy to clean. We have one disabled cat you see so we have to be careful about some things we have for the cats, but these litter trays are great and quite inexpensive too. Hope that helps :-)

Wilkinsons also sell the hooded types (looked ok from a quick glance) - not sure of price though

There's a good range here: http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/cats/cat_litter_litter_boxes/hooded_litter_box and there's a sale on! I like the corner ones but I don't think my cat would have enough room to go round in circles before he pees / poos.

    Thanks for your replies.

I shop quite a bit online but for some reason didn't think of buying a litter box online!

  • I've got one of these (in the really bad weather last year I wondered why my huge boy hadn't "been" and discovered he couldn't comfortably get in my "big" sized tray, turn round etc):

It's great! (expensive, but worth it if you've got a big cat).

I second this suggestion. Our large male has all the room he needs, and he can't empty the contents all over the floor.

you have to use clumping litter, then it just goes into clumps.
Honestly, best thing i've ever brought, takes me 10 secs to clean the tray now! :)
