Tesco Value Baby wipes

An earlier thread commented on the rise in price of assorted value items including these. I was going to buy some yesterday but they have gone up to 49p now. The last time I bought them the price was 18p. I did use them as general cleaning wipes but no more. At 18p I was prepared to allow for the reduction in quality but not at 49p.

i used to buy them by the box for my two children! but not any more. its really angered me that they've i increased the price so much! soon enough they will be just as expensive as normal branded wipes! it's ridiculous! i used to buy at least 10... but 10 would only be £1.80. now it would be nearly a fiver

I have noticed that the big brands have also cut the number of wipes per pack but kept the price the same. Packs that were 72 wipes are now 64 and the ones with 63 wipes are now 56!0

I have noticed the prices of the wipes go up and down on sometimes a daily basis. If i see them at 18p i grab at least 10 packs to see me through, our local sainsburys always have their own version for 18p (they go down to 11p a pack during the baby event), they are not as wet as tesco's but still great value.0

I looked in Sainsburys too but there were none, not even a price ticket and an empty shelf. When dancing with dragons, don't let your partner lead.0

Everything is going up at Tesco at the moment it seems. I regularly buy the value cheddar slices as my little boy loves them. They've gone up from 59p to £1.21!! Thats more than twice the price!
