Do Halifax accept faster payments?

Anyone know if they do for credit card bills please? My bank HSBC operate this system. Thank you.

Halifax current accounts do, but the cards do not afaik.

Normal times per back of statement I'm afraid.

What about a direct debit? That guarantees that the funds hit your account at the right time, and no need to worry about transfer times

I've just checked for you and a payment sent on 18th from Barclays, is shown on the Halifax credit card statement dated 19th.

Dave is correct. The Halifax Credit Card sort code for payments is 80-20-45 which doesn't accept faster payments at the moment.


You can check any UK bank sort code to see if it accepts faster payments on http://www.ukpayments.org.uk/sort_code_checker/

the funds are credited on the next day using sort code 80-20-45

This is also the case when paying via HSBC bill payment
