I had 6 items in total, 3 on each sheet so i had to have them all done at the same pharmacy.
Otherwise if I had gone 1/4 mile farther down to a different branch I would have probably got them.Wow, I got 3 *, when did that happen :j:T:p

You didn't have to get them all done at the same pharmacy. They could have given you your script back to allow you to go elsewhere. TBH, I wouldn't have waited two days for antibiotics. If you're ill enough (or infected enough) to need them, you need to be taking them as soon as possible."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
I was on 9 different tablets a day earlier this year and if the pharmacy didn't have all of them I took the whole prescription elsewhere. We have 4 pharmacies within a 100 yards which makes that easy to do though.0

I've given up on Lloyds Pharmacy, last year my GP changed an item to a generic alternative, Lloyds supplied 1 of the three items prescribed, but then said they couldn't supply the rest, claiming a manufacturer's problem and I'd have to get another prescription for the balance. The manufacturer said there were no supply problems, it was probably the pharmacy not wanting to dispense generic items.
I bet they still managed to charge the NHS for all the items on the script.0 -
I wasn't aware I could get the rest elsewhere, they didn't tell me I could.
I know now for the future.Wow, I got 3 *, when did that happen :j:T:p

I have had this problem with Lloyd's time and time again, I now refuse to go there. Also they charge you for the item first then you wait around and if it's out of stock you have to get a refund! At least at Boots and ASDA they check to see if they have the items first before making you pay. (Plus the Lloyds near me is wear the junkies get there methadone from and that really puts me off having them barge in and get served in front of others, looking like they haven't seen a bath for days)0

Pharmacies do not hold large stocks of medicines due to space, cost etc. There will be times when items are missing although "basics" are less likely to be short. Also some GPs change their prescribing habits from time to time and this can catch a pharmacy out. They will hold stocks of a particular antibiotic (for example) and then the doctor decides to prescribe a different antibiotic. Lots for antibiotics in stock but not the brand prescribed. I wonder why doctors do that?
Regarding the splitting of scripts: All items a page of a script must be given out by the one pharmacy. So the poster with 6 items on two sheets could have 3 dispensed by one pharmacy and the other 3 by a second pharmacy.
If you are getting a script for travel it is advisable to sort out your scripts in plenty of time to enable the pharmacy to order items in if needed. They will normally be ready the next day.0 -
I always have the same antibiotics as I'm limited in the ones I can take.Wow, I got 3 *, when did that happen :j:T:p

I picked up some prescribed drugs for my partially-sighted mother from Lloyds fairly recently.
About five days later I noticed a box labelled "fluoxetine" on her coffee table. I was a bit surprised and concerned that she had been prescribed antidepressants, so I checked the box and saw that the labels (on THREE separate packs) gave her name and the drug that she was prescribed (NOT fluoxetine) advising her to take FOUR tablets a day. The maximum dose would normally be ONE tablet per day.
So, thanks to Lloyds, my mother had been taking a QUADRUPLE dose of drugs that she shouldn't have been taking in the first place AND was missing out on the drugs that she should have been taking to help with the symptoms of an advanced cancer. Unbelievable.0
