Place to stay in or near Chesterfield

I am planning a weekend away with hubby and would like somewhere to stay near or in Chesterfield.:j
We plan to visit Chatsworth and Hardwick Hall so accomodation near there is fine.
We don't want a premier inn/travelodge etc ( use these to visit daughter at uni!!) but a nice, but not expensive hotel.
We have not had a holiday for 5 years
so would like something nice but very MSE.
Any ideas or suggestions welcome
