Just booked butlins Christmas fantasy weekend

...For my brother, his wife and their kids for their xmas pressie. They have had a rough year and i'm sure the kids will really love this. I went with my hubby and kids 2 years ago and it was great, the kids loved it.

Has anyone else been to butlins over xmas and what did you make of it? I want to take my kids on a xmas trip again this year but somehwre we havent been before, any suggestions?

Not to put a dampner on things but will they like Butlins?! Have they been before? You say the kids will love it but from a mum point of view....I'd also have to like the place!!

One place I'd love to go over Christmas is Center Parcs....one day...one day!

  • it's fantastic we have been for about 5 years running (not last year tho!) and thouroughly enjoyed it. It's all decorated with lights and the usual stuff. There's a panto that they'll get tickets for a certain day and time, a meet santa in his grotto ticket for each chilc (and a free gift - we had a teddy which was £10 in the shop!), lots of stuff to do in the day and good nighttime ents. They'll have a great time - and you'll, ,ove it if you tag along i'm sure

Fantastic - There really is something for everyone. The Christmas weekends are especially great for getting everyone into the spirit of Christmas. The children will love it. I've taken my niece and nephew every year for the last 3 years (they're 9 and 6 now) and they'd be gutted now if I didn't - They talk about it year round!!
Big pat on the back for you - A lovely thing to do for them.
