I can't decide whether to start a course in Feb now or wait for the new fees - presumably, I'm entitled to a student grant/loan if I go with the new system?

Fee loans will be available but it would seem rather strange to pay £2,500 per unit when the current rates are around £700-£800.

I am in a similar position, I haven't studied with the OU since 2008/09 now, but in order to fulfil the criteria for the lower fees I would need to start a course start Oct or Feb. I am not entitled to any funding so would need to pay myself, which means trying to find about 80pm through ousba.

I was considering leaving it and then just getting the full funding on the higher amounts, as I only need two course to complete my degree. I then wouldn't need to pay it back for years

I am torn, although still leaning toward starting in Feb and only paying the lower amount, therefore coming out with no student debt...
