Raffles!!!

Options
Hey!
This is my first ever post :j
Basically I am organising a raffle for our local football team, half of the money goes towards kit for the team and half goes towards oru local childrens hospice!

Iv sent out lots of letters and emails and had 10 responses so far (only started on Monday) mainly from local businesses but also a couple of national restaurants etc!

Basically wanted to know if anyone had any tips or knows any companies who are generous :) i understand that business is hard at the moment but any donation regardless of price etc will be greatful!

so far we have: paintballing tickets, beaulieu family pass, wagamma vouchers, laserquest vouchers

we live in the south so if anyone knows any companies that would be fab :rotfl:

Thanks guy

Bowling companies are good for giving out free tickets. Also try independent childrens indoor playlands - I used to work for one and we always gave out free tickets to people who needed them for raffles

At the end of the day make sure you reward all those kind businesses by advertising them!
In the past when I organised sponsorship for dog shows I always made sure the business names were clearly shown on programmes, or in adverts in the local paper beforehand or (if relevant) on a website...... where ever! For one national business we handed out catalogues. It means that if you run a raffle or something similar in the future you are able to tell businesses how you helped advertise them! If you have a local newspaper try to get an after the event piece in there too- if you write it yourself & send as an attachment you can list the companies and very often the paper will just publish your piece as it is!
lots of luck with your raffle
