Does anyone know the cost of using the debit card abroad?

What does anyone think to the service?

which bit of debit card did you miss


I think it may be the same as regular barlcays debit cards i have the account below this and get no favours using it abroad.

Cash withdrawal charge (% with a min charge) if you dont get foreign transactions for free, and the cost of the exchange rate conversion when the bank process it into your account.
If withdrawing with debit card abroad always choose the local currency, the ATM will likely offer to convert the amount to GBP at that point, but it will nearly always be a worse rate than the bank will charge.

No favours with debit cards overseas - though where I have been in recent years foreign cards dont work at all so may have changed I havent noticed.

In general I've done well enough out of the account, in the last 18 months, 2 claims on the travel insurance which is/ was generous compared to others, 8 free tickets to Thorpe Park, 3 free trips to the O2, 1 home SOS claim (this is now being stopped) which was badly handled but a complaint resolved the matter more than satisfactorily and a couple of table bookings after restaurants said they were full to me.
