How long do you expect to wait to receive a reply from the bank, i suppose its like how long is a piece of string but if i leave it 4 weeks am i within my rights to send a letter of complaint to them and maybe the correct authorities.
Its only been 3 days but i am not wanting First Plus to relax over this.

1 Week should do it and then sit back and wait for another 15 weeks before the possibility of a payment. It will be worth it though because a win will see a large refund cheque sufficient to decrease your current payments by 20%.
The letter will be bog standard but look out for the personel complaint code they give you as a reference.

Ok get a letter this morning from First Plus, they have forwarded our letter to Central Capital i think they used to be Debtbusters, i forgot that they were involved, so even if it was sold to me by another party the amounts in question would they still come off the loan?
Funny how quick they responded seeing its not their problem.0 -
Hi there,if CC give you the refund of ppi, this will have different workings out to a straight mis sell as you have had the cashback, Niggly will help you with this.footballbantams wrote: »Ok get a letter this morning from First Plus, they have forwarded our letter to Central Capital i think they used to be Debtbusters, i forgot that they were involved, so even if it was sold to me by another party the amounts in question would they still come off the loan?

With this being CC,you may have to negotiate it being taken off your loan and the loan reset, otherwise the ppi will be on your loan to term end.0 -
Hi,
The PPI cheque that i received after the 5 years was in First Plus's name, thats why i forgot about Central Capital (Debtbusters) i have been looking at different threads regarding Capital and it seems that people are getting the PPI returned with interest and loans reset.
All i am looking for is the loan amount lowering more than compensation as i am trying to sell the house, because First Plus use a settlement calculation very similar to Rule 74 after 5 years i still owe more than i borrowed and with house prices falling its difficult to shift it.
Maybe i should fill out the FOS questionnaire and resend the letter to Capital to make sure.

The ppi that you get back from CP will go to the loan, this maybe why they reset it.
If you get the mis sell refund back to you, then the ppi is still on the loan and that is what you do not want.
They do not give you cashback and the mis sell back to you, as you would have had it twice, but the debt will reduce by the ppi total amount and hopefully you will be able to sell and get rid of FP forever, and that cant be a bad thing can it?.0
