Samsung LE32R74BDX LCD HD Ready Digital 32" £579

This TV in John Lewis at Cheadle is £579 on display. They have none in stock but are expecting a delivery next week. Just ordered one at the reduced price. A bargain with the 5 year guarantee. Still £795 online though.

26 inch £579 online...32 inch for same price is a good buy with the 5 year guarantee:D
  • Sorry to pour cold water on this but I rang John lewis & they won't take any orders . Got to keep checking stock online on a daily basis - then they'll honour the new reduced price once they get stock. Apparently it's a competitor price match - but I forgot to ask which one ( doh!)

just seen this deal go up over on dixons..... promo code reduces to £599 then another code to take it down to £579, you can find it somewhere lol.... hotdeals lists the codes...

just posted another topic on this item
  • Sorry to p**s on your parade, but i'm afraid i'm going to put the last two posts in their place. Your both so way off the mark it's laughable. I ordered one from cheadle over the phone, once i'd read the initial post. £579 delivered. I've never even been to the Cheadle store. The girl on the phone told me that it was this price as they are making a local retailer who has been banging them out at this price. As for Dixons, go a head and buy it for the same price, but in 23 months time when it goes tits up, just think of us that have still got another 37 months of hassle free tv maintainence on tap.

This was an awsome post by shanta, and would like to thank him/her personally.

    Cheers

I've relayed verbatim what I was told over the phone - taken at face value I'm afraid.

The staff should tow a consistent line eh!

changed my post to suit :D

i posted about dixon as they are in stock where i live where as my local john lewis have none, nor has the internet, as for the warranty by the time it packs up ill want another new one anyway so who cares, technology is always changing so i am happy.....oh i thanked the original poster too..
  • Thanks for the post Shanta & John Lewis are excellent with their 5yr (foc)warranty so really worth buying from them especially at this price!?!

But............. if the Cheadle store is pricematching a local competitor why will all the other John Lewis stores sell this 32" Samsung TV, which is advertised at £795 on their website, for £579?

If you can help me with this I would be very grateful as I am looking to get an LCD HD ready TV deal!

    Thanks

thank you for this (button clicked) ordered from Cheadle store. No payment details required until in stock and due for pick-up apparently, and a guarateed price of £579. Got a customer order number for it.
  • Sorry if this is a dumb question - but how can you "add to basket" online when there's no stock..... The site just bounces it right on back to you !
