vegetable oil suppliers

Hi all,

I'm going to run my car on a mix of veg oil and diesel but am wondering whether there are any wholesalers in the Bristol area who could sell me a 20 or so litre jerry can of the stuff? Any ideas?

Or is Tesco as cheap as it gets? They have a 5 litre bottle of sunflower oil for £5 at the moment.

Thanks,

Straggler

How friendly are you with your local shop keeper? or do you know anybody with a Makro / Costco card where you can pick it up at trade price rather than retail

£1 a litre for new oil is a bargain, snap it up. Dont think you'll save much more (if anything) going to makro/costco/bookers.
Poundland were also doing oil the last time I was in.

For advice and more, get over to www.vegetableoildiesel.co.uk

I have a Makro card and I always look at the veggie oil prices. It's worked out at just over £1 a litre the last several times I've checked.

Almost not worth doing now unless you can filter used oil and use that. What car are you doing this with?

You won't get better than £1 per litre on veg oil. Still 40p a litre cheaper than dino. What car/van are you running?

If it's convenience you're looking for JJ Foods do oil in 5l or 10l containers for £4.99/£9.99 respectively, although minimum order for delivery would be £250 to Bristol. Alternatively you could collect for a 10% discount, but the nearest warehouse would be Birmingham so not very convenient, unless you travel up the M5 frequently.
