Virgin - Dont choose black

in Credit cards
If you want a Virgin CC quickly do not choose the colour black. I got a letter off them today saying my application has been approved but they are out of black credit cards. They are going to send me a red card in the next 10 days until the black cards become available.
So if you want a quick turn around don't choose black.
Can I just confirm here that even if you do a SBT online they will not charge the fee or is it better to ring them up?

Virgin took absolutely ages recently to send me my card....weeks...and the service during the application period was pretty poor really.
But once everything had been agreed and they had a account number for me they gave me the number over the telephone and allowed me to do a SBT there and then.
I was able to transfer 98% of my available balance to my current account and was not charged (they said the first was free)0 -

Is it only me who feels uneasy with being asked what colour of Virgin they would prefer?0

Sounds like BS from Virgin (unusual for a Virgin company?)...0

I ordered a black virgin card but they sent a red one. They did my balance transfer immediately and I wasn't kept waiting at all.
Excellent service!0 -
i put in my application for the card last week. i called them up about 30 mins ago to see how its progressing. they had the application but it hadnt been actioned, so whilst i was on the phone, they approved it and offered me 5k C/L, i asked them to raise it to 6k, which they did. The pack is going in the post today with the forms for me to sign (credit agreement i guess?) and send back, they reckon 3-4 days before i get that, then another 3-4 days or so before i get the card. they didnt say anything about having run out of black cards.
not very quick are they?
Had my g/f fill in an egg application online yesterday, as she's a few grand overdrawn and being charged stupid amounts (£80 month charges), i've persuaded her to SBT to egg at 0% then we'll BT it elsewhere in 5-6months. They made an instant decision online and gave C/L of 5.5k, the credit agreement forms arrived in the post today!0 -
I never recieved my tart alert so i had abot 2 1/2 weekls to find a credit card. I have took out a virgin pink card but from what i am reading i wont have it set up in time to transfer my balance.

I applied online for a Virgin credit card so I could balance transfer my current card I have. It took about a week to receive the form to sign which I sent back the same day so I'm waiting to see how long it takes to get the actual card itself!!
I ordered a black one but have had no information to say I won't receive it.0 -
They said that they were sending a red one temporarily until they got more black ones.0
