Afternoon all, how are my favourite forumites?
Thanks so much for your advice yesterday re my friends visit! I got myself all in a tizz, but she didn't mind, she just didn't want to not bring going out clothes and be stuck, so the plan is pizza in the oven friday night (after she arrives) whilst Dad and OH (dad also visiting!) are out, we'll open a bottle of something fizzy (it's been a year or 2 since i last saw her and we have one in the wine rack).
Then on saturday we'll get a lift into town (or bus if up too late) and I'll show her the sites, then dinner with Dad and OH and more catching up. Prob more wine too ;)

    Today I have/will:
    -bought lunch in
    -bussed in using bus pass
    -drinks and snacks from drawer
-LSD - I need to get some ribbon for a friend
-posted expenses receipts this morning - hopefully will have that in my account next week - fingers crossed I'll be able to put some away (mostly on cc, but there was a bit of cash on there, which I don't need really, so will put half onto other cc and half into xmas savings)
-meals form stores - toad in the hole. This was one of our big areas of naughtiness. We write our menu when we do our shopping, but so many times we find ourselves gonig "I don't want that, let's get takeaway or go and get something else" But this week and last week so far (touch wood) we've stuck to either our list or made a meal out of what we've got. small steps, but I'm really proud of us for doing it.
-make a shopping list tonight and do shopping online (we spend FAR too much when we go, so though we have to pay for delivery it is much better for us)
    -track ww points

    Have a great afternoon everyone!

Afternoon all. I have not posted for ages, but, read everyday - you have been keeping me on the straight and narrow!

I have been trying to be good and also tried posting a couple of times but my work computer will let you write the post and then brings up an error message when you click post  Anyway, I am at home today for the first time AGES so I thought I would take the opportunity to post:

    • Complete tax return - refund to me for once :j:j will go straight on final CC :D
    • Phoned tax credits to update details... aah, what gets given in one hand, gets taken away in the other it seems :o
    • weekly shop coming from Mr S tonight using £12 off voucher, plus will get 10p petrol voucher - great for DH work (self employed)
    • pick up ebay parcel from post office
    • quick tidy round
    • may sort some boxes in spare room later so we can finally get bed up
    • pay day - so moved money in to various accounts for things and updated my favourite spreadsheet :p

Think that's about all folks, good to *see* you all getting on so well. be back later to catch up again :)
